What is hypnotherapy?
It’s a pleasant feeling of deep relaxation, during which you will be fully aware of what’s taking place.
How does hypnotherapy work?
By taking you into an ‘altered’ state, allowing the therapist to work with you in accessing your own powerful resources, helping you make the changes you want to make.
Why Choose hypnotherapy?
It’s drug free, with no side effects and treatment is concluded within a short period of time.
Who can be helped through hypnotherapy?
Adults of all ages and children of school age and above.
What types of sessions are available?
· One to One
· Couples
· Families
· Paediatric
You may be accompanied by a non participating adult if you wish. Children can either be accompanied during the session, or parents may wait/return, whichever is most acceptable.
Can hypnotherapy make me do something I don’t really want to do?
No, your unconscious mind will not allow you to do anything that you are not entirely comfortable with.
Hypnotherapy will help you make the changes that you want to make, in the right way for you.
How are Hypnotherapy Practitioners Registered?
Suitably qualified hypnotherapists can apply for membership of hypnotherapy bodies such as the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council, Hypnotherapy Society and the Hypnotherapy Association all of which I am a member of. Each member is bound by a specific code of ethics and has to demonstrate ongoing competence to remain a member. Only practitioners who have completed the required level of training and are suitably insured can apply for membership of these registered bodies.
How many sessions will I need?
- Most people find that 1 to 3 sessions will produce the required results.
- Behavioural disorders such as Aspergers Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) are likely to require more treatment.
- Clients with behavioural disorders will also benefit from occasional review sessions to track progress and reinforce positive changes in behaviour.
- Bed-wetting is another area that will generally require in the region of 5/6 sessions.
How quickly will I see the benefits?
- Most clients notice immediate benefits following their first session.
How long does each session last?
- Sessions generally last 1 – 1 ½ hours. The first session is often the longest as this is when the data gathering takes place.
How much does it cost?
- Smoking cessation £90 for one session (one session is all that is required)
What else do I need to know?
- Email/phone support can be provided in addition to face to face treatments if necessary and an inclusive price can be agreed.
- Where clients are likely to require treatment on a longer term basis (such as those dealing with behavioural disorders) and if NHS funding is not available, a reduction of 10% will be given when 5 or more appointments are booked and paid for on the first appointment.
